getting new work in by our artists is always a treat. this week has been full of surprises at hidell brooks. a gorgeous pair of paintings by abstract painter chris hayman arrived with the smell of wet paint still lingering on the canvas. a dozen new one foot square paintings by charles walker that look wonderful alone or in groupings also were unpacked today. lots more to come in the next few weeks with paintings arriving from kate long stevenson and windy o'connor as well as solo exhibitions for scott upton and katy schneider to be delivered soon for their shows in november. hidell brooks is enjoying the chill in the air with a slight smell of paint in the gallery.
