hidell brooks gallery was honored to be a sponsor of the 26th annual good friends luncheon at the grady cole center in charlotte. a good friend and client called us a few weeks ago to see if we would like to be a member of good friends. we had heard about the organization but never been able to attend the luncheon due to the fact we are usually manning the gallery at this time of year. thanks to our incredible gallery sitter jessica we hopped on it and after learning more about all the amazing things good friends does in our community we decided to be a sponsor!
Read Moreexpansion update
it is december and our expansion is on schedule for demo to start in two weeks! we are a bit overwhelmed with all the details but are very excited about the expanded hidell brooks. to make it clear we are not moving but adding 1500 square feet of additional space. we are reconfiguring both spaces to work as one. we are going to try to stay open during the upfit process but it is going to be a bit logistically complicated! we will defintely be around to help clients with all their art needs during the renovation. looking forward to 2013!

we love sharing installation shots of client's homes! they definitely help give an idea of how a painting is going to look in a home setting versus the gallery which can be vastly different. we tell collectors if you love a work of art at the gallery then you will love it even more in your home.

Read Morejust in...sherrie wolf
new paintings by sherrie wolf arrived this week at the gallery. they are absolutely stunning! sherrie wolf uses the classic paintings by old masters as a backdrop for her own still life compositions. she arranges fresh fruit and flowers in the foreground, and allows the older paintings to hover behind. she meticulously interprets the master paintings in the background and whether you know art history or not they are fascinating!
