hidell brooks is so excited to have paintings by john folsom back in the gallery.  we showed his mixed media paintings over a decade ago and recently renewed our crush on his work after viewing the billboard atlantic series from a few years ago. 

hidell brooks cannot believe it is already the middle of september.  we have been very fortunate to receive new works by a lot of our wonderful artists recently. 

we are so thrilled to see quite a few projects hidell brooks has worked on over the past year featured in recent issues of traditional home magazine.

hidell brooks is ready for the fall art season to kick off this friday night with solo exhibitions for north carolina artists arless day and susan mcalister.  both artists will be in attendance opening night from 6- 8 pm and will give a joint artist's talk on their work at 7 pm sharp.

hidell brooks does not take for granted the joy each new exhibition brings to us. even though the excitement of changing a show is entangled with the labor of designing the invitation, taking down the previous exhibition, prepping the walls, laying out the new work, hanging, and then the actual opening night.

hidell brooks is busy preparing the gallery walls for two solo exhibitions opening september 11th. mountains, gardens & private room new collages by north carolina artist arless day transports the viewer into imaginary surroundings filled with beauty in every nook and cranny.

lots going on at hidell brooks as the end of summer has engulfed us.  this weekend we are hanging our two fall opening solo exhibitions for arles day and susan mcalister. 

so thrilled to see gallery artist susan mcalister featured in the current issue of southpark magazine.

hidell brooks arrived at our corporate retreat amidst thunder and lightening with the island roads flooded with ankle deep water.  the marsh was hardly visible shrouded in a veil of fog reminiscent of one of jacob cooley's paintings that just arrived at the gallery recently.
