hidell brooks is very thankful to finally have the show up and ready to go for tonight opening of far east dallas new paintings by charles walker and facades new paintings by francis livingston. between all the winter storms of late getting the work here has been quite challenging. well worth all the effort for the palette of these two solo exhibitions will brighten your day for sure. the juxtaposition of the linear abstraction of walker's paintings beside the architectural facades by livingston causes the viewer to contemplate how each artist's approaches their work. tying the two artist's paintings together is their full use of the color spectrum.

all new paintings by both charles walker and francis livingston are on our website under each of their artists' pages. the openng reception is tonight march 6th from 6-8 pm. charles walker will be present at the opening. alongside the two solo shows is a group exhibition of new paintings by gallery artists. hidell brooks is very excited to be exhibiting a group of new collages by brooklyn based artist geraldine neuwirth. geraldine is new to the gallery and we are in awe of her intricate abstracted colorful collages. also included are new works by jacob cooley, johan hagaman, tony hernandez, amanda talley, sally king benedict, susan mcalister and scott upton.
